Pietje Puk

Pietje Puk is a Dutch children's series by Henri Arnoldus, with illustrations by Carol Voges. The books follow Pietje Puk, the cheerful and ever-optimistic postman of the village Keteldorp, who keeps running into trouble and good fortune in equal measure. Each story drops him into a new role or escapade, from tailor to fireman to film maker, alongside the mayor, the village policeman and his parrot. The series ran from 1958 to 2000 and sold millions of copies in the Netherlands and Flanders.
