Shervin Hajipour is an Iranian singer and songwriter, born in 1997 in Babolsar, who rose to global prominence in 2022. His song Baraye, with lyrics drawn from social media posts by protesters, became the anthem of the demonstrations following the death of Mahsa Amini and won the inaugural Grammy Award for Best Song for Social Change.
