Þingvellir National Park
Þingvellir National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in southwestern Iceland. It is the location where the Althing, one of the oldest parliaments in the world, was founded in 930 AD. The park sits on the boundary between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, creating a dramatic rift valley landscape.
