Baantjer is the crime series by the Dutch writer A.C. Baantjer. The books follow De Cock, an older police detective at the Warmoesstraat station in Amsterdam, and his younger assistant Vledder. Baantjer wrote the series from the 1960s until 2008, and it became one of the most popular crime series in the Netherlands.
