Westerbork Path part 25
Hiked 11.6 kilometres from Hoogeveen to Kremboong.
You’ll find yourself walking through a place that was once a high peat area, with old peat colonies like Tiendeveen scattered around. The dyeing process has given the landscape a really rectangular shape. At the end of your walk, you’ll reach Kremboong, which is a reminder of a forest area where Camp Krembooneng took place, involving 240 Jewish forced labourers.
