The Holy Bible - John
The Holy Bible is a collection of books. So I have split them up. I will read it in 1 year, every day ~15 minutes of reading.
Why read it?
The Book of John, written around 90 AD by the disciple John, shows Jesus as the Son of God. It focuses on who Jesus is more than what He did. John picks seven miracles as signs and records long talks with Jesus. The book aims to bring readers to faith in Christ.
You will meet Jesus through deep words, meet people like Nicodemus and the woman at the well, and see His love on the cross. This book helps anyone who wants to know Jesus better and believe in Him.
Favourite quote
In John 3:16, Jesus says:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
This verse sums up God's love and the way to life. It offers hope to everyone who trusts Jesus.
What I Loved
The raising of Lazarus in chapter 11 moves me. Jesus weeps, then calls Lazarus out of the tomb after four days (John 11:43-44). This miracle shows Jesus' power over death and His care for friends. It builds my faith that He can bring life in hopeless places.
Key Takeaway
John teaches that Jesus is God in the flesh, the only way to the Father. His signs prove His claims, and His death brings life. The book calls us to believe in Jesus and receive eternal life (John 20:31). It reminds us that knowing Him means loving Him and following His words.
