Zion by Hillsong United

Zion arrived in 2013 and marked a clear shift for Hillsong United. The band traded much of the big-room rock for electronic textures and patient, layered builds. The theme circles around grace, doubt, and trust, the long walk of faith rather than a single high. It is also the home of Oceans, which is what first led me here.

Why listen?

The sound is atmospheric worship, synths and beats wrapped around live vocals. The production is detailed and modern, with space left for the words to breathe.
