Luna by Anna Lapwood

Luna is Anna Lapwood's release from 2023, a resonant programme for the organ. It runs to 73 minutes across 15 tracks on Sony Classical. It came to me long after release and earned its place.
Why listen?
The playing is rich and resonant, the full range of the organ put to use. Lines build slowly and bloom into broad, sustained colour. It is music that fills a space and asks you to slow down.
Favourite piece: Stay (from Interstellar)
Stay (from Interstellar) is the track I return to, the clearest statement of what the album is doing. It is worth the price of the record on its own.
Key takeaway
Luna is a rewarding listen. Recommended.
