What is xartstorageremoted?

xartstorageremoted manages xART (extended Anti-Replay Token) storage. xART is a security system that stops replay attacks on secure storage. It makes sure old, revoked data cannot be played back to get around security measures.

What is anti-replay protection?

When sensitive data (such as encryption keys or security tokens) is updated or revoked, an attacker might try to restore old data to undo the revocation. Anti-replay tokens stop this by tying data to a specific point in time. Once a token is updated, old versions cannot be restored.

What uses xART?

xART protects:

Does it use many resources?

No. It handles secure storage operations when needed and is otherwise idle.

Should you worry?

No. It is a normal Apple Silicon security process that guards against advanced attacks on your Mac security state.
