What is WirelessRadioManager-osx?
WirelessRadioManager-osx looks after the wireless radios in your Mac.
What does it manage?
- Turning Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on and off
- Managing radio states when your Mac sleeps and wakes
- Keeping Wi-Fi and Bluetooth from interfering with each other
- Handling Aeroplane Mode on supported models
- Saving power by adjusting radio states
Why do the radios need managing together?
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth both use the 2.4 GHz frequency band, which can cause clashes. WirelessRadioManager-osx coordinates between them to reduce problems. For example, it can adjust Bluetooth while a large Wi-Fi transfer is happening.
Does it use many resources?
No. Managing radio states is light work.
Should you worry?
No. It is a standard macOS process that keeps your wireless connections running well together.
