What is TrustEvaluationAgent?

TrustEvaluationAgent checks whether security certificates are valid and trustworthy at the system level.

What does it do?

When system services on your Mac connect to a server, they receive a security certificate. TrustEvaluationAgent checks that certificate to make sure it is genuine and has not been revoked. It works alongside trustd, which does the same job for user apps.

What does it check?

Should you worry?

No. It is a normal macOS security process. It protects system services from connecting to servers with bad or fake certificates.
