Great Rivers Path part 6
Hiking from Krimpen aan den IJssel to Bergambacht (14.77 km).
Central to the stage is the Loetbos, named after the peat stream Loet that flows right through the Krimpenerwaard. You walk over bits of grassland and via small wooden bridges over countless ditches. This is how it must have been before the land was cultivated: peat bog and marshy swamp forest.
