The Swift team has officially released a new, fully supported Swift extension for Visual Studio Code, now available on the extension marketplace.
This extension aims to offer a seamless, feature-rich development experience for Swift across all platforms. Originally created by the Swift Server Working Group, the extension has now transitioned to the GitHub /swiftlang organization.
Existing users will automatically receive the new version, with the old extension being disabled and renamed to indicate deprecation. Developers are encouraged to uninstall the deprecated version.
