Foundation Package Preview Now Available

Today, the Swift Core Team is announcing forward-looking changes to the structure of Swift, the work, and the people around it. These changes include new groups, names, organization, as well as inclusion as a first-class concept for each group.

The Swift Core Team is restructuring the Swift project by organising workgroups into steering groups and workgroups to enhance community contributions and focus.

The Language Workgroup becomes the Language Steering Group, while the Server, Documentation, Website, and C++ Interoperability Workgroups continue driving their domains, with the Core Team retaining its name for continuity and overseeing strategic alignment.

A new Ecosystem Steering Group will support tooling, documentation, and platform expansion, and a Contributor Experience Workgroup will improve pathways for community involvement, including the Swift Mentorship Program.
