De Cock en de moord in seance by A.C. Baantjer

Why read the book?
A seance is held. During it, a woman is murdered. That sets the task for De Cock.
His job is to find the killer and prove who did it. The synopsis is brief and does not say who the woman was or how she died.
This is the seventeenth book in the series about the Amsterdam detective De Cock of the Warmoesstraat station.

What I Loved
The seance gives the case a closed setting. A group of people sit together in the dark, and one of them dies, which makes a tidy puzzle of who could have done it.
The rest is the steady De Cock formula. An Amsterdam case and a detective who works through it without fuss.
Key Takeaway
A woman is killed during a seance, and De Cock must work out which of those present is the killer.
